We already know we love this city. Now we get eight days to eat our way back through it, catch a sunset or three, drive up to the turquoise water at the Grotto, hang with Cesar on his home turf, and have a really good time. Here is the loose shape of it.
Our first stay in Yorkville sits by the museums, the castle, and the Village. The second, downtown by the CN Tower, drops us next to the island ferry, the market, and the stadium. Tap any pin for the why.
Loose on purpose. Each day has a thing or two we know we want, plus options to fill in as we go, so there is always space to rest, linger, or follow Cesar to something we would never have found.
About four hours each way for turquoise Georgian Bay water, a swim at the Grotto, and a harbour lunch in Tobermory. A long day, so we leave early and keep it focused.
Cyprus Lake parking is reservation-only from mid-June to early September, in four-hour timed slots, and there is no walk-in and no shuttle. Grab a Monday afternoon slot (around 1:00, to match the 8am car pickup) on the Parks Canada site as soon as we can. The Canada Strong Pass makes park admission free through Sept 7, but the parking fee and reservation still apply.

El Convento Rico in Little Italy is the standout: Toronto's legendary Latin drag club, and Conejo Negro next door for a pre-club dinner. The Village is the other pole.

One of North America's biggest Filipino street festivals. Food, performances, and a real neighborhood block-party feel.
Two big shows the same night (History and the waterfront amphitheatre). If a marquee concert sounds fun, grab tickets early.

Little Italy's legendary Latin drag club (750 College St), running since the early '90s. Reggaeton, salsa, a midnight drag show, and one of the most mixed crowds in the city. A perfect night out for us.
